I always like to use one of my time management charts to keep track of my life. As one of the biggest time management issues, I can easily see how having a solid time management chart can aid in your daily to-dos.
A solid time management chart will be a chart that you put out on your wall, one that lists what you are doing and when, and how much time you have for each. As a simple rule, if you are doing X, then you should have some Y time to spend on it.
To be honest, I can’t remember the last time I felt my to-dos were so fluid. So, as a tool to track my life and to help me be more productive, I like to use a time management chart. Of course, it doesn’t mean that I have to have one. As long as I know what I’m doing each day, I can manage to keep track of the things that I need to get done.
I have a time management chart on my iPad. It helps me to see the amount of time I have for each day. I am a bit of a minimalist, so it helps me to be more efficient with my time.
The problem with time management charts is that so many people think it has to be perfect. In fact, it should be no more than one or two things on a page. The best thing about time management charts is that they are not based on anything. They are based on your life. When you get everything done, you can see how things are going, and you can make sure you are still on track.
I’ve been told, and have seen time management charts for myself, that they are all about “what your friends think.” Well, I don’t think that’s the case. I think that is based on my own experience of how I am with my own time management. I have my own ideas about what I want to “go” on a given day.
It’s all about what your friends think and what you want to put on it. My sister, the girl who is a member of the team I work with, was there, too. She’s been there for me since she was a kid, and that’s all I need for the time management chart.
A well-managed life is not only about time management, but about being able to be productive all the time. This is especially true in regards to your day. There is no point in stressing out about the time you have to get ready, just get started. Your priorities should align with what you want to accomplish that day. This is especially applicable to your work life.
That’s all good and well, but if you’re working at a job where you are the only one on a project, then you might not feel like your priorities are aligned with your day. Instead of stressing about what you have to do, try taking a few minutes to reflect on how your day is going. Maybe you need to get up early, maybe you need to get lunch ready, maybe you need to run an errand before you head to work.
We’ve talked a few times now about how we are trying to make our jobs more efficient and productive. In the case of our office, we’ve started a time management chart. First, you’ll want to think about the time you have to work today, and then determine the priorities of the day. You might be working on a big project, but you are also working on a part-time job that takes up all your time.
