I want to emphasize that I am not a wood expert. I’m not even a very good wood expert, but I do use wood all the time. The wood that we work with in a construction home is usually pretty hardwood, but I like the versatility and the flexibility of using different woods that provide the different levels of craftsmanship needed. However, there are some woods that I simply cannot cut with a saw.

The problem with using brick and stone is that some of the brick in your basement and sub-basement is actually cut from your home’s old foundation. If you have a brick home, this is not good because there is a possibility that, on top of the foundation, you’ll find brick in the basement and sub-basement. That could be a huge problem for your foundation because it could cause the foundation to crack or collapse.
The fact is that the only way to get around the problem is to do more of the same. As you can see, brick makes more sense if you’re going to build a more permanent home, but if you’re going to build something permanent then brick is a good idea. If you build a building, you can’t really build a permanent home right now.
