Fitbit has recently rolled out a new product they call “distance badges.” They are designed to track how far you’ve walked or run. The company even put together an infographic that shows the results of the badges you’ve earned. You’ll notice the distance badges will appear on your activity page on the app.
The company aims to help people in the same way as Facebook, by giving users a way to track their distance (and how far they’ve moved) from their friends and relatives. In addition to their own app, Fitbit’s own website is also called a “distance-tracking hub”, or a “link hub” for “everybody who knows about the internet.”, and it’s basically a place to find out what you’re doing.
I always have a distance-tracking app on my phone as I travel, but I find that this is much more fun than the apps you get on your phone. It’s a great way to find out what youre doing and the places youve been. I found that doing this I was able to track where I had been since I could walk and also where Ive been since I had my first Fitbit.
