I’m not too sure about the airport job thing myself. Sure, the perks are great and the company is awesome, but they have a reputation and that’s a big part of why I’m not sure about it. To wit: I had to take numerous breaks. I was not allowed to get up early to get a good, uninterrupted shower, and I was not allowed to get up and prepare my food at the same time.

I mean I could type up a huge list of what goes on in the company’s work environment, but that’s not really necessary. If one were to see an hour and a half of a corporate employee doing the same work for just a couple more weeks, they’d probably be fired. And that is the same reason why many employees feel like they need to work on their resume and make a solid case to why they should continue to work for the company.
I don’t know that having a job at a company with a poor reputation for their hours is a bad thing. For example, I have a friend who is a doctor who is also a long-term employee at a hospital where the hours are good. He’s a fantastic doctor and he’s always working, but he’s not getting any better as his treatment of the patients improves. They also have a reputation for taking sick leave. I don’t know if that actually helps or not.
But the company has a reputation for having these long hours. For example, the company made headlines in January for giving a doctor an 8 hour day, then giving a doctor the day off. They went from this to a 6 hour day in the summer, then 5 hour days in the winter. And they are still doing this.
